So in NY hunters get 5 total tags for a doe ( not counting two transfers and the late season reg tag change) so why does NY need to increase doe harvest to start THEN make the first two weeks of early season doe only in certain areas. (Mine in particular) if they want to increase buck numbers and age why not just add an antler restriction. Now in all their wisdom they have to combat folks that won't pass a 120+ that will not report that deer and others who will tag a 120+ and ensure they report that the deer was taken in a different wmu therefore defeating any "reports" or surveys they base the entire system off from. Maybe I just don't get it but seems like a politician is among the DEC staff. I've now got to change my entire game plan and gain new ground less than 60 days from seasons open. Thanks NY thanks a bunch!
