Yes. Draw for permits in August. Matter of fact we were checked by a warden that day.
Even if I was a outlaw,I'm not dumb enough to post pics of it:lol:

I thought you had a spot on NC to kill swans.

More and more geese every day. Highs in the mid 60s next couple days is sure going to make it feel like goose hunting weather! 19 days and still a lot of work to be done to get ready.

If the geese keep their same pattern I will be in the money Sept 1st, but we all know how this story usually goes.

Starting another project. Pulled out my canoe and floaters that I haven't used in years. Going to repaint the canoe and rig up the floaters to hunt the river nearby.

Hopefully get out this weekend and scout the river. Be my first time attempting to hunt it.

Not sure how the rivers are for your area, but around here the rivers are great for the late season as everything freezes up. Early season is tough to hunt since our rivers are loaded with tubers and kayakers and so forth.

Your best bet is to find slack water in the late season if your river freezes up. Find dams and find islands below it were water is still open.

Absolutely can't wait! Decoys, layout blinds, blinds, and boat are all ready to rock! Early goose is gunna be a blast...lots of residents birds here that aren't educated yet! Bee seeing ;lots of banded honkers around lately. Last year was a slower year for us but still good....this year I feel like we are going to have consistent good shoots!
    Couple from last season:
