Anyone buying new waders this season? The boss has given me the go ahead to buy a new pair since i'm due for some.

Thinking about going with the USIA waders with bog boots.

The geese are starting to get active. September 1st is coming quick, but not quick enough.

We then have a couple week early goose in September then duck starts up. Everything closes for a week or two then opens back up until duck ends first week of December and goose about third week of December. Don't know dates for this year.

I bought a new pair of neo waders when wing supply had them on sale a month or so ago. Didn't really need them, just couldn't pass it up. I bought a new pair of gore tex last winter when cableas had the on sale...didn't really need them either. But now I've got spares!

I just pulled the trigger on the Cabelas Northern Flights in Real tree MAX 5 camo... 200$ shipped... cant beat that..

The USIA waders were almost double of what i was looking to spend and about max of what my waterfowl hunting funds are this year on new gear and what not. they would have ran me about 400$. So.. i still have 200$ to play with... need a new thermos and gun case... cant think of anything else right now though...

All my chest waders have leaks or something wrong with them. still have a nice set of wader pants and hip waders that have a few seasons left in them. We have so many spots to hunt that i need 3 different different types of waders;)

I'd love to make that trip but it just ain't happening this year, I think my wife would divorce me. Catch me on your way there or way home and we'll chase some birds around here.

Kind of suprised that the geese are feeding in a standing bean field tonight. Granted this field was planted late, but you guys see this much? I am assuming they will switch when the beans are mature? Would like to see this pattern continue, but am doubting it will.

She's got a point I guess...I've got trips planned to ND,TN,OK,MO and MS. And that's just duck season,I plan on spending some time in AR chasing snows.
One time years ago shortly after we got married I had spent way to much time hunting during duck season, hunted several states, damn near quit working. I had been in MO chasing snows for several days and come home to a empty house with a note saying we were done. Made a believer out of me. When she tells me that's enough I stop. Now days I try to keep it check.....try.

Should work for me. She was talking about going to Colorado at Christmas I think I've got her talked into thanksgiving instead. I'll have a week or two off at Christmas. I plan on duck hunting all of those days.

More and more geese showing up each day. Was scouting some soybeans two nights ago and had a group pile into my early season spot (our pasture).
