Well we got another 10 plus inches of rain in 36 hours. Needless to say my go to lake has came up over 20 foot in the last two days. Headed out in the morning to hunt the road we normally drive in on. This should be fun.

Whacked these 2 this morning on a float hunt. We were actually dumping water out of the boat from a near catastrophe and they came buzzing up the creek and I dumped them both with 1 shot.

Also found this on my float trip. GF put a post on Facebook to see if we can locate the owner. It was hanging in a tree. I pulled the sd card that had a video of some kids flying it. No faces though. This thing goes for like 250$ [IMG]

So I am just getting back to work after a week and a half off (gotta love shutdown, especially when you don't have to work them).

It was a pretty sweet time. I've been hunting a lot more with some friends that have been doing it a very long time. I only have a few years under my belt so hunting with people with good experience is, well, a good experience.

So we were able to really get at them a few days. Most days were too warm and we didn't have a lot of birds. Central Indiana isn't quite in a flyway. We do have private properties scattered around most of the state that we can hunt though.

Anyways, here are some pictures. These are from various spots we have to hunt.

I've been working on video more as well. I'll try and get some posted up. I have a barrel cam, and a go pro. I haven't gotten to use the go pro much yet, but hopefully in late goose I'll be able to get some good footage.

Struck out yesterday on the river.

Went this morning to my pond out at my work and was able to knock 4 down.

How about a report out your way? I'm heading that way Thursday for 4 days.

Only retrieved 4 birds today but the last one was heads up and about 70+ Yds the entire time with no ground swats ... He chased the bird for a solid 10 minutes of non stop swimming. Goose dove under 4 times before he was able to grab a hold of him. He got a deer steak for dinner tonight.

STILL waiting on a big push of geese to get here. Hopefully, and I've said this way too often this year, this storm system that came through over the weekend pushes a bunch down today and tomorrow.

We closed the duck season out on Sunday. There were so many birds, so so many birds. We were even able to scratch out a redhead which is rare for our area. Pretty sure he's going up on the wall (my buddy's though, he shot it).

That was a huge push of birds, too bad it's over.

Geese will be in around here until 2/15 so there's plenty of hunting left to do. After this week, the ground should be good and froze. We had to fight stuck 4 wheelers on a few hunts, just sucks.

I'll get some more picks up soon.
