Nah no picture. Would have been nice to get all 3 if it wasn't pouring and the wardens weren't there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great Idea why didn't I think of that. But really, Im probably making hard than it needs to be. I just feel like its a large piece and not a lot corn stubble a long with just putting dirt on it. Im new so I'm just trying to find the best way to hide myself and have the best luck of getting birds to come in.
Oly try taking a rake or small shovel to get a little lower to begin with. I would still fill the slots with stalks and then shovel or rake dirt on top. Some of them new layout blinds are pretty good to start with. Good luck.
Thanks for the tips, I'll try it out. Hopefully I will have some pics from some successful hunts in the near future.
Nope nothing wrong. Just doing their jobs and checking us out. But it was pouring at that point and taking a picture of birds was the last thing on my mind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Haha okay, it just seemed like you guys didn't want to take pictures because the wardens were around.
Husband is on a sea duck hunt in Cape Cod. Him and a friend each got a banded duck. This is his first. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Mud your blind! Then if you can, dig your blind in a little bit. Use cornstalks but try to match the surroundings so don't over do it. Mudding your blind should be first priority. Then use decoys to hide corners and shadows. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I'll have him write info down. He's up there for work and dropping it off at the taxidermist in NY. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Just a little update on my season so far. Most of the hunting we have been doing has been on public land around Maryville Missouri and some private land around Kansas City. Still haven't been seeing really big numbers of geese and are barely starting to see some ducks moving down. This weather has been really hurting us but we are still having a great time at it.
Awesome man. Weather here has been sucking too. It's so warm. Birds that are here at so scattered it's hard to hunt them. Went out this morning to a small pond I have VA with a buddy and was able to put 2 down. Each shot 1 out of a group of 10 birds. My gun jammed after that first shot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice man a double band at that! I bought that jacket he is wearing this year and love it. Best 40$ I ever spent! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
