That is pretty cool. I thought about that and still have a Gadwall in the freezer from last season. Maybe I can get both of them done for Christmas.
Shot a black duck and a gadwall in a day in a half. Probably saw over 1000 ducks the first day with less than ideal conditions. The birds have all been there for a while and are set in their ways. Need some cold weather to push new ducks down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Went goose hunting this morning. Didn't have anything come in. Packed it up at 9am since most of us had things to do.. As we placed the last decoy in the bag a flight of geese came in and flared of course... I got out with my step brother last week to a walk in and we wound up with 4 mallards. He and some buddies went down to the southern zone and limited out in an hour the next day. The walk in down there is something I pass on. Walk ins in general are an early 20's guys thing IMO. The one we went to is only about a 3/4 mile walk with 1/4 of it being waist deep, and I can definitely tell I'm not a spring chicken anymore. Sore....sore....sore. Waiting on the geese to get here now! Doing some scouting tomorrow night, a little pheasant action Thanksgiving morning, then hopefully some geese this weekend.
