Nice looking dog Brandon. I spent yesterday morning with a pro training dogs and running mine. You don't realize how much work you need as a handler until you spend time with somebody that does it for a living. My dog looked good though considering who trained her. My 9 week old puppy is a hellion! I'll see if I can find some pics of her.
I need to find one around my area. I'll find out just how far off Hammer is on Tuesday morning when dove season opens.
Blind is out. Just need to add some green to the blind and weed whip the inside and should be good to go for opener this weekend! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Thanks! He is only 8 months old. Pushing 85lbs now. He should hit around 110lbs when he is done. He's a hoss for sure. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
Wish me luck guys and gals. Are early Honker season opens tomorrow morning. Gonna be 90 but I'm hoping to get some birds down before the heat kicks in. Let the games begin!!!!
Hammer went to work this morning! He did better than i could have ever hoped for. Found 7 of them that i would have never seen. It was a good morning.
first kill of the season. Wasn't able to go out hunting so to speak so I went down to my pond this evening. waited for one of the flocks that fly over every day and dropped the last bird. 1 shot 1 kill ... Game on fellas!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Congrats on first forum goose of the year! Season opens Saturday here. Geese have been using one of my fields religiously but I can guarantee that will change Friday; it's inevitable!
Looks good!!! Get'em!!!! Starts the 8th here, have to work during the week but hopping to get out the weekend and slay them!
Nice! Season opens tomorrow. Got the layouts mudded last night and everything ready to go. Full tank of gas in the last two days and only 6 birds left in the area that I could find. Typical early season...
After doing volunteer work with DNR this year and getting to know biologists in our area and talking with them about waterfowl and reading reports on water fowl numbers we got talking about the black ducks and their decline over the years. So this year and maybe the next few years I won't harvest any black ducks. I usually shoot around 15 or so a year. They are down 11% on the yearly average and 13% over Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
