Yup! I predominately waterfowl hunt. I only shoot pumps aka slide trombones. I retired an 870 i literally used for everything from killing ducks and geese to a boat oar. Now i hunt with a Nova and Super Nova. Like my Nova the best. Cant go wrong with either

I'm the same. Only shoot pumps... I have a 870 wingmaster that I bought 13 years ago that I still use today. Best 60$ I ever spent. Before that I shot a mossburg 500. I just redid the wood on my 870 after last season. She still has a solid 10 years left in her.

Man, you guys are talking right up my alley on the waterfowl.

MY name wingtipsdown comes from my line of calls - wingtipsdown calls.
I don't do as much with the calls anymore because my fulltime job keeps me way too busy.
However, I have 2 sons that are getting interested in possibly taking it further.

I have an injection molding facility that keeps me busy enough.

It is 1 thing to grunt or rattle to pull a buck in - but learning to call and hunt waterfowl is like nothing else you will ever do. Pulling birds from a mile away to land them 20 yards in front of you is just waaaaaaaayyyyyyy to cool.

Nice to have you aboard. We don't have to many hard core waterfowlers on here.

Amen Brother!!! I didnt bow hunt one day last year (which actually i regretted) because we actually had a pretty steady duck/goose season here in southwest illinois. I kept telling myself "oh there will be plenty of time to deer hunt when the ducks slow down". It was a good season.

I have been getting things together for the upcoming season all summer and am currently working on repainting some old mallards into divers and looking for more decoys to enlarge my spread a little. Luckily in upstate SC our bow season starts Sept. 15 and the main waterfowl season doesn't open until the Saturday before thanksgiving, giving me plenty of time to bowhunt. The bow usually gets put up once waterfowl season rolls around. Good luck to everyone this season.

I'm location in Oldham County - about a mile off the river. I don't hunt the river but hunt Indiana, and surrounding counties.
Been to Colorado, ND and way up into Quebec

I have about 20+ locations to hunt in 3 states. All private. And geese are hitting more then half of them right now. 7 days to go!! I won't make it out till the Saturday though. Might squeeze in a evening hunt.

Mine after water drills today. This will be his 3rd season.

We also secured 2 more properties today. Both have geese hitting them hard and they were hitting them hard in the late season last year.
