Mo teal season opens Sept 6th and runs to the 21st. I saw about a dozen fly over me this morning as I sprayed food plots. I suspect they went into the marshes I built about 500 yards southeast of where I was but I didn't go look. Believe they were blues.
    KS teal opens Sept 20-28th

MO dove season opens in the morning, we have doves everywhere here on the farms...I suspect all the milo and sunflowers may have something to do with that.

KS Dove also opens in the morning.

Here's a couple pics to get your fever up.

Well... The farmer disced the from field last night and all the birds decided to go to that field Instead of the field they had been going to. We managed to pull 2 small flocks away from 120+ geese. Knocked down a total of 6 birds out of 15 or so that came in. Forgot to take pictures... But here are my 2 bagged up and ready for the freezer[IMG]

Yep, that looks like it would hold a few teal.
Why does KS open the teal so late and not use all the days the Feds give for teal?
I saw some blue wingers yesterday while doing some water training with the dog.
No geese for me today for the opener. I had been watching several but last week they left and I have no idea where they are at now:rant::cry:

The guys had a successful opener in Pennsylvania. I didn't go out as I am still so busy with getting a horse ready for fair - but will in about two weeks.

My picture looks rather similiar to DogFish's.

I believe I'm going to make an ox-roast thing out of them.

Our home flock just landed about ten minutes ago. Watching out the kitchen window...hoping they keep it up so I can get some when the husband gets home.

Quick question for you waterfowl folks.....I was selected to participate in the USF&WS waterfowl survey this year. I have not duck/goose hunted in 10 years. Any idea why my name would have been selected? What a waste - why not let someone who duck hunts do the survey? Just wondering if anyone has an idea about this.

Thanks and have a great season.

Is this the survey in which you submit wings of ducks and tail feathers of geese you harvest?

    Dogfish -
This one just wanted kills, non-recovered, hunt days and bands.

I have not gotten one in 9 years and have not duck hunted in that time frame. Just seems odd and a waste since I won't add anything to the survey except that I did not waterfowl hunt.
