Yesterday was the last day in NC for swan season and we were lucky enough for the last 5 people to limit out, including my dad. Here are some pictures

    Dad's swan

I don't know how many hundred in the field across the street
    [IMG]

A few hundred in our field

    A few flying

    Everyone tagged out

Last but definitely not least, we were hunting a field that backs up to an inpoundment and saw well over 1,000 birds. Unfortinutely, this was one of the better and more clear pictures. No, your screen is not dirty, those are ducks haha

    X2!!

Saw a ton of swans hunting in North Dakota this year. Going back next year, I'll definitely be applying for a permit. I'd love to knock one down!

I spent the day in SEMO looking and trying find a spot and got three "NO's" and one "I don't think anybody around here will let you hunt".Its been a few years since I've been over there and it was a lot easier to get on land then. I also didn't see near as many geese as I use to. I guess I'll work tomorrow....

Just because I'm getting the itch and I'm bored at work I'll post some snow goose hunts from previous year. Worst part is I don't know if i'll even get out this year..

Well today might have been the last day of the season for me. Me and a buddy went to a pond i recently got permission too that the geese had been hitting pretty good. All week long temps were warm and the pond thawed out and looked promising for 1 last hunt.

I was off work friday and was wanting to go be for the cold set in and froze it again. My buddy couldn't make it until today. So i waited.. we got there this morning and it was a sheet off ice.. rather thick..

So i decided to break up some ice near the shore enough to get 2 decoys in the water and we put 4 on the grass.

All week long birds had been in there by 7:30-7:45 @ the latest.. come 8:30 we had not seen or heard a single honker. We decided to give it until 9. I'm glad we stayed.. shortly after 8:30 the waterfowl gods were good to us.

2 man limit (10)... 3 more guys could have limited out.

Dang it, some of you are still hunting and I'm making plans and working on stuff for next season. I was happy this season is over though it was tough.
