I started off in my teenage years hunting waterfowl and I love it. Anymore though I prefer to deer hunt because deer puts more meat on the table. I still find myself hunting waterfowl when the opportunity comes.
I love to grouse and pheasant hunt. Which runs right in line with archery here in pa. During the early season, I hunt a stand in the morning and walk a field for birds in the evening
I have a German shorthair and all of my good grouse land is my bow hunting land... Needless to say the gsp is more of a house dog than intended!
Our duck season doesn't come in until the Saturday before Thanksgiving and our archery season starts on September 15 so I have plenty of time to get deer hunting in. I just got back from scouting a little swamp this morning.
