    With your wife being into healthy eating, I'm surprised she's ok with drinking chlorine and probably fluoride as well.

    Oh I'm sure I could bring it up and scare the crap out of her and we would have a system that filters it next week.

    As a person who really dislikes any weird tasting water, I can tell you that even if you run that water through every filter on the planet.... it still could taste bad to them. Taste distilled water sometime if you don't believe me.
    I've used multiple filters at a couple of the places that I've lived. The water is better but still funny to me. So I buy flavorings (lemonade...tea..etc.)
    For plain water drinking, I buy purified drinking water. I think it's what they add to 'drinking' water that's important to make it taste good.
