She hits the deer WAY back, almost in the leg... They decide to leave the deer over night...

When they miraculously find the deer... she goes and pics up his head and it's just as flexible and movable as anything...

Now Ive not left a lot of deer over night... but anytime that I have they have been stiff as a board...lol... just wondering...

I guess they may have "found" the deer... loosened him up and then shot the recovery footage... only thing I could think of.

Or the deer died less than thirty minutes before they got there. Its all about death time.

Edit: But you may be right the final shot is the most important in their book. Not mine I like the kill shot love seeing the arrow or bullet go strait into the boiler room!!!

Probably didn't have any blood on it either, or its tongue out. That is the part that I despise the most about the hunting shows. Not so much that they want to tone down the blood and gore, I understand that part. Its more that they act like they are just finding the deer and fake the whole scene.

I saw a show about how they do all that....there is a big process in getting the deer "ready" for the find scene. That is why so many shows say they will leave them overnight or for several hours even though you just saw them smoke em. My guess is they don't leave alot of them overnight, they pick them up and re-place them the next morning for the filming. So many guys report the yotes eating their deer overnight, yet the vast majority of the shows never have this happen. Its all business, I'm just not a big fan anymore. I still watch some cause I love to see big bucks.

I saw this show and wondered the same exact thing! I noticed the knocked down all the brush around the deer before hand so you could see it better and the deer didnt look stiff at all. It looked to me like it was still evening when they found the deer.

They probably faked it, just like WV said.

But she's hot so it's OK. LOL I mean, what a terrible shot. I see too many of them on these TV shows. She missed her intended target by about 3 feet. LOL

I noticed this kind of stuff last night when I was watching a hunting dvd. Seemed like every time the deer would die in the middle of a crop circle, where the grasses or crops were conveniently matted down

Nicole Jones who is Pat Reeves' new woman and she is on the Driven tv show with him. I watch their show and I want to like it because they reside in my great state but they both kinda irratate me the way they talk to the camera during the narration. lol It's not the Minnesotah accent either. I can't really explain it.

Okay thanks. I've heard of them but other than what I've heard... I can't place them.

I've been to outdoor shows and have talked to a couple of guys who tell me about their bowfishing or hunting and then become all indignant when I don't recognize who they are. I guess they must have a show or have been on a show or something. On guy really got p.o'ed when he said "you don't know who I am?!!!!" Sorry bud. I don't. I don't watch much tv. I don't even watch the youtube clips. I haven't even seen the Campbell's show that I was in. I'm just not into it.

    :D

I did see the DVD where the one lady shoots at a little buck five times. How embarrassing.

That was my point it wasn't the accent. But she does live here with Pat. I think it may be the way she points her finger when shes talking. Anyways it's a decent show but another one of these everything is set up and everyone else has done the homework on the bucks they are after besides the hunter.

Christine, the next time you're doing the IL Deer & Turkey Classic, they're the ones in the booth to the left of the Droptine Divas and cadicornered behind and over from the White Knuckle guys that had the crowd of 200 guys 15 deep around their booth with all the guys trying to gawk at Nicole.

    ;)

I know I sound negative but I can't stand those Ken and Barbie hunting shows. They aren't realistic and a lot of those so called experts are killing deer on highly managed big farms. Notice the model for success, The Crush, Driven, and numerous others. It's all the same formula find a hot to relatively hot girl put her on a big buck in Pike County Illinois and everyone is happy. Nicole Jones probably thinks she is a good hunter, maybe she is but I bet she couldn't hold a candle to some of the people on this forum or others. I'm not referring to myself but some of the people I really pay attention to on this website who seemed to have earned their dues. Maybe Pat Reeve knows his stuff but somewhere along the way he and others like him became misguided in their approach to hunting. I think its a slippery slope for the people in the industry not to get caught up in the fame and big horns.

i love watching any hunting shows, i love to see the animals and how the shots play out. i could care less about the recovery, whether it's faked or not, i don't care. even those who get mad about animals taken off "game farms" or whatever, they still have to be out there and shoot them. it isn't the same as you putting in the time and scouting, vs some guide driving you out to a "house" and sitting a few hours watching 25 great deer and then shooting the 1 monster, but i find it entertaining. to some it may be considered hunting to others not, but i like to watch it either way
