3000ft short on the runway full flaps full brakes and full power..... for those unaware this is The Dreamlifter, the largest cargo plane in the world on a prop plane runway.
How did it "accidentally" land there? Pretty sure that's an important thing to realize, where you land it.....you must take off from.
WOW that was impressive to say the least!! That bird requires over 9000ft of runway! They just did it in under 5000. COOL!!
They still haven't given the whole story, it was supposed to land at the air force base 6 mi south. How these guys messed it up is astounding!!!
I bet they emptied its payload so it wouldn't need that 9000 ft. I also would assume they were real light on fuel.
They didnt empty the payload as luckily they were only carrying a nose section and not a full fuselage. It was on E though lol... Those pilots are getting an anal exam today, should be fun hearing what their thought process was. (or lack thereof) weather conditions were also pretty good, strong headwind, cold dense air etc
