How many of you guys hunt public land? It's all I have, so that's where I am. Been watching the hunting public videos on YouTube and hoping and it has already helped me with scouting and potential tactics during season

 

I will be hunting a mix this year, but any private access that I have is basically bordering public land. So I usually get a few trespassers a year.'

I am going to do a card pull in the next few days, my hopes aren't real high though. In the past I haven't seen the nicer bucks until early/mid September. Right now I have a bunch of runts and does hanging around my spots.

 

So far I only have one video of a nice buck that I also got on camera last year during late season. Lots of does though, which hopefully will help fill up my freezer. At this point in my hunting career I am simply hoping to get on more deer this year. Hope you get some nicer bucks showing up on your cams though...

 

At the end 0f the day, I will probably take the first legal deer I see. It is always fun to see what pops up though. I have some nice bear in the area, I would really like to take one of them.

 

I hunt both private and public land. I have some good private land 4 hours away so I only get to hunt that a few times in a season, I have had a good bit of luck in those few days.

Couple from my card pull today and the last is another prospect.

 

Walked up to a cam today and this guy had found a home on my lens lol. Luckily he was only there today, even though he looked pretty cozy.

 

Hey Guys, I think we should go forward with picking a name. Anyone have any other nominations other than "Watch your Six?"

Mark, those are some great bucks! I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on any of them.

the rochester area brother !!! we can probably find some time to hunt together on some public i have a few run and gun set ups you can borrow one !!
