Gregs post got me thinking about the scent in the vest. I was just wondering if any of you guys wash your vests in the washer to get the factory smell out of them? I have never done it but would like to. I just didn't know if it would wreck it or not. Any experiences on this???

I would not put it in the wash machine.

Put it in tub of luke warm water with scent killing soap and/or baking soda and hand wash it. After you are done air dry it outside and then throw some more baking soda on it.

I know, I wonder about that. We put so much into washing ourselves and our cloths but what about our safety vest, backpacks, new treestands etc.

I dont wear an actual vest, I wear a harness and you can bet that I wash that thing just like I do my hunting cloths.

I put mine in net bag and wash it with my hunting clothes. Not as often but in the early season when it is only one layer away from skin it gets sweat on it too so it gets washed.

I always took my vest part off of my harness and washed it with my clothes. Then throw baking soda in with everything in my scent bag!
