Who's to say that Chuck Adams is America's most successful bowhunter? I ain't knocking the guy, but that's a pretty bold statement don't ya think?

It would be considering Griffey is still playing. He may not have the HR's but he has a better swing and without injury would be better in number.

What makes "BEST" ? I do not agree with just numbers.

Would it be bold to say A-Rod's America's best HR hitter?

    What about Pujols? Lol, jk.

Actually, from what I've seen put up resume wise, Chuck Adams is in fact pretty successful, and he did a lot of it on his own $ (at least in his early years). He certainly isn't perfect or anything, but I respect him.

Chuck's got my respect as well. I just think it's bold to just state that he is America's best.(period) As in all time. I guess I take things literally. To me that was saying that he wasn't just "Today's" best or top bow hunter, but he IS America's best bowhunter.

Wasn't a shot at Chuck, just struck me weird. :deer:

True. Then again, advertisements say some strange things at times. Look at PSE's ad campaign against Matthews for instance. Marketing is marketing I suppose.

Steve, come on now. I'm not a lover of anyone...ok, MAYBE my fiance...and my parents...and grandparents, but anyways...not Chuck Adams:D He has my respect, though, but I do see what Ben's saying, but it's advertisement.

No bars have been raised, it's where we started, you lowered the bar when you used the words "playing today" in your original response.:d

Eh they're all good. Pujols has the consistency more like A-Rod. It will be interesting to see how his numbers compare in four more years to what A-Rod is at now.

Chuck isn't the most successful bowhunter now or ever?? If he isn't, then whoever is needs a new PR staff.

In this whole mess of using baseball analogies I am thinking we are forgetting to talk about Billy Ripken, Cal Ripken's funny little sidekick of a brother. He is somewhat similar to Patrick Swayze's brother, Don Swayze. Anything that goes through on this thread "statistically" must go through Billy Ripken himself.
