We are planning to start a few food plots coming the spring/summer. We will need to do a little bit of clearing to get an open area to get light in. Some of these places may will not be accessible by fourwheeler which is the only big equipment we will have to work with and pull with.

I also was thinking it may be useful when riding our ATVs if someone was to get stuck, which normally doesnt occur. But also could use it around the house if need.

Im just not sure if the price is justified and i cant find much info on the winch. I was thinking about getting an old fashioned hand winch/come along which would be much more economical based on how much use it may or may not get.

I like the looks of the cordless one but you won't want to be trying to pull much with that manual one, they are slow and don't have much cable on them. I use a couple of those to work on undercarriages on our bulldozers and they work for some stuff like that quite well but to pull trees and whatnot I think it'd be a waste of time. I'd darn sure get one heavier than 2 ton if that's what I was going to do because the cables stress easily and twist and two ton isn't much.

Also be careful, cables and whatnot can be dangerous.
