Its been in the upper 70's here in Ohio this week, I have seen plenty of deer in the corn fields and grassy fields about 4-5 o'clock. Do they still move around in this warm of weather?

Well, if your seeing them, they must be moving.

I'd say they are moving, but very early and very late. unless you set up near a water source, plus with the acorns falling like crazy it's hard to tell when something will move.

I don't know about keeping the deer away but its keeping me away. Here is KS its been 90 and windy the last couple of days. Those are the 2 things I hate most during deer season. My best spot the wind just swirls everywhere because of how the creek bottoms are and I hate walking in the woods trying not to overheat then get to my stand getting ate up by bugs and just being downright uncomfortable.

Supposed to cool of into the upper 70s this weekend but then rain all weekend. Not shaping up to be a good 1st half to October. Only have gotten to sit 1 day and it was a great day but the high was 65 that day. Lots of deer movement and really should of had a doe just couldn't get turned right with 4 sets of eyes bouncing every which way.

Warm temps usually keep deer movement to very late and very early in the day. I think it also depends on just how warm you're talking about too. If its in the 70's for a high, it might not be as bad as if it were in the 90's as frantic29 reported.

I think early in the season, high temps aren't as significant as it is later on, during the rut. High temps during the rut, when we expect to see chasing, is a killer for the most part. The does aren't on their feet much and of course, the bucks aren't too far from them.

The deer just don't disappear. They are still out there. You just need to figure out where.

Here in Indiana it was pretty cool to start with and got a nice buck. Now as the week progresses its been like 70-75 everyday until around 6:30pm. This weekend is supposed to be 80 which is a bummer.. Was looking forward to it, but not now. Cant night hunt! :ninja:

It's 85 here and deer movement is down alot from last week when the temps were in the 70 degree's this moon is not helping alot either. But it is time to find a acorn tree that the deer prefer if you are going to go out in this heat.
