I've been 90+mph on a snowmobile without my hands getting cold. So, I know warm gear exists.

For you guys who hunt in the extreme cold, what gloves are you using?

I'm good, once I get to stand and get set up. Walking to stand and getting my climber on my tree is just painful. I'll switch to thinner gloves, at height.

    Thanks.

I use the Manzella glove/mittens. The finger tips are open but the mitten part can be pulled over them when you want the protection. They're pretty warm! I use a muff and a few hand warmers inside while actually sitting on stand though.

I've been able to get away with Under Armor Cold Gear gloves and hand warmers thus far. I have a pair of glomitts with pockets for hand warmers but haven't needed them yet. My fingers get cold pretty easily too, but this season I've been lucky.

Late season I expect to need the glomitts though.

I use the UA Cold Gear liners under the Arctic Shield System gloves. Once I get in my stand, I take off the top layer, switch to a fingerless wool glove and keep my hands in a muff with some handwarmers.

It's cold down there right now from what I saw on the wearther channel.

UA thin gloves.... muff... handwarmers for me. I was thinking about getting something for the walk to and from too. They get pretty cold by the time I get settled in and can stick them in the muff.

I just use jersey gloves and handwarmers. I hate bulky gloves.

For my bow hand, I use a chopper mitt with a handwarmer inside and a light UA glove on my release hand with a handwarmer in my pocket. That's when temps are below 15, above that I just wear the light UA gloves and have handwarmers in my muff.

For the walk in and climbing or hanging a stand I use fingerless early season glove. Once I'm set up I go for the wool like glove/mittens.

I've got Black Diamond mountaineering/glacier climbing gloves that I wear a thin poly glove liner inside of while goat hunting. I can easily slide my hands out of them and drop them on the ground to get ready for the shot when it comes and my hands stay plenty toasty yet i can still manipulate gear and use an ice axe or hiking pole with them on. You could lanyard them to your waist for treestand hunting or put them in your pack if you're just using them to get into your stand.

I use the Arctic Shield gloves as well. They're great gloves and cost less than $40. I use the mitten covers until I need to shoot. It's easy to pull them back and have all the dexterity in your fingers to shoot a rifle or bow release. If it gets really cold like sub 15 temps I'll stick one of those toastytoes with the adhesive in the inside of the mitten. That way it won't fall out when I pull the mitten off to shoot. check em out here http://www.onyxoutdoor.com/product/...tem_Gloves_-_Mossy_Oak®_Treestand™

I wear a light pair gloves and use a muff. I can only think of a handful of times when I've needed to use handwarmers with a muff......muffs rock.
