I am going to be sitting in a 12 foot ladder stand. I'd like to purchase (inexpensive yet safe) some sort of harness or strap that I can wear to stand and shoot safely from my stand. I will be hunting alone and want to take extra precautions. Any suggestions?

I got a couple extra ones, if you want one PM me and I'll get it to you. Battle Lake isn't that far from me...They are just simple harnesses that come with the stands but they work...Let me know...

I picked up a couple lifelines this summer for my sets that I'll keep up all season. I really like them since you're attached from the moment you leave the ground. I showed my dad and he bought 3 from his ladder stands:tu:

i love my HSS. It is reverseable from camo to blaze orange. It meets all the requirements for orange in Illinois. I also use the lifeline system. No matter what you choose to you, make sure that you use something.

The wife and I both have HSS hunting vests and have retractable straps when we go up and down.. Other ladder stands, I just took thick rope and tied a loop on both ends.. Went up every stand and wrapped the rope around the tree and put one loop thru the other and pulled it tight. When you go up EVERY tree, you can just snap your carrabeaner on the hanging loop. You will never be UN-secured in a stand on MY LEASE... Nice knowing that your loved one, a visitor, or a friend will not be falling out of a tree injuring themselves and ruining everyones hunt.. Rope is a very cheap investment and can save alot of lives if we would all just "Clip In" !!

Tie a rope at the top above your head and then tie it to the bottom of the tree.. Then put a Prusik Knot on it... DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is cheap and simple to use. Slide it up as you go up and down when you come down... No reason for anyone to fall out of a tree..

Safe hunting to all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck this year !!!!!!!!!!!
