Let see manager works 80 hours a week and family is on food stamps to survive... That is enough reason not to shop there... or eat at Micky Ds for the same reason.
I might be misunderstanding your post but a typical Walmart store manager makes in the range of $70k - $100k if not higher?
Walmart hourly associates can max out in pay at around $21 an hour. Granted it takes years to get there. The first level of management is "Assistant Store Manager". They start at a salary of $38,001 in most areas. They can max their base salary at $54,500 and can receive a 15% bonus based on sales and profit on top of their base pay. They put in a minimum of 50 hours a week. Next level is "Shift Manager". They make straight up $60K, no raises ever. It's a "stepping stone" and not a permanent position. They can bonus up to 45% of their salary. Usually 50-55 hours a week. Next level is "Store manager". Salary for a store manager can range anywhere from $60K-$110K I believe. They can receive a bonus up to 110% of their salary. They can essentially double their pay in one lump sum if all goes well. Usually around 50 hours a week. It can be extremely stressful and 95% of the customers we deal with on a daily basis are not pleasant. I usually get my face chewed off 2-3 times daily. Not sure what the management in your guy's stores are all like, but I always do what I can to take care of my customers, especially if they are pleasant with me. I'll usually reward them for that. The customers that come in angry and jump me right off the bat generally get a smile, and a "You need to leave my store". Especially if I know they are lying to me.
My sister works at a Walmart. I've got 25 years at my job so she must be closing in on 30 years. She makes more then I do and her husband. He is in trucking and receives pretty good pay. She has done very well and they have treated her well. I hear how crappy Walmart is, yet I see the same people working there for years in our local store. They provide health insurance at little cost to the employee. I am paying a lot more for mine. My coverage is pretty good but I think their's is just as good if not better from what I have heard. You guys might not step in Walmart but they do here. Place sees a lot of traffic and I don't really hear any of the locals complain about Walmart other then the competition. They actually have a decent hunting/fishing section here. Tim
She was receiving stocks in the company. She sold a bunch quite a few years back and purchased a 40 acre farmstead with it. Now the place is worth 3 times what she paid for it. Not bad for a poorly paid walmart employee. No food stamps were ever involved. Crazy huh ?? Tim
I've never had a problem with Walmart's service and been doing business with them for years. Never a problem on returns or ordering online but I have not ordered very much online. Hope your problem gets resolved.
Our local Wal-Mart isn't too bad in store. Online ordering from them is HORRIBLE! They do carry a lot of stuff online that is not in the store. Especially with Hunting. Out local store this year in the hunting department absolutely sucked! First time in years. They got a new store manager which I guess has to do with that. I think the service has to do with store by store. I know ours has went down hill since the new manager. The Hunting department this year was a joke! I ask the guy that works back there what happen and where was all the camo clothes and such. He just said new manager...lol. Probably some liberal...lol. It's a shame though....the last 10 years their hunting department had tons of stuff.
I ordered my wife a treadmill from their website. It arrived broken. When i called them to get it fixed they said i could load it up and take it back to the store for an exchange. I tried to explain to them that the whole reason i didnt buy it in the store in the first place was because of (1) weight and (2) nobody kept it in stock. SO they said they would send somebody out to repair it and it would cost me $500 (treadmill was only $400). I ended up borrowing my dads truck and took it back for a refund. Their managers were even jerks!
Did you get everything g figured out with the bows?? If not, what bows are you trying to get?? Maybe I can help. John 3:16 Thank The Lord !
No I still haven't gotten any resolution. My wife placed a second oreder for the same things against my wishes yesterday morning and now that freakin order appears hung up as well... unbelievable. I ordered a Bear Brave III Set for my daughter and a Bear Scout set for my lil boy
Bummer. I hardly ever shopped at walmart when I lived up in Chicagoland. But when I was in the boonies of central IL, the walmart (13 miles away) was about the nearest grocery store that had any real selection. I did avoid it like the plague when the EBT cards refilled. The place was crazy and depressing those days. I've never ordered anything from them online but my mom ordered some stuff for her chickens from walmart. She was really impressed with the price and service. Go figure. Costco is supposed to have great service and they totally dropped the ball on a gas dryer we ordered. I also wanted to stab the eyes out of the guy who ran the tire service at the Mt Prospect Costco. I bought a couple thousand dollars worth of tires there too. Jerk. But otherwise, Costco has been great.
I was referring to the guy in the sporting goods section claiming he was the manager. I guess I either listened to the wrong sob story or someone wasn't really a manager.
That's probably a department manager instead of a store manager. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
Thanks... maybe so. Man, I got an ear full. I guess I was naïve enough to believe him and feel bad for his family. Sorry for posting that.
I don't mind walmart. It's the other shoppers and a majority of the staff that I can't stand. I will gladly go to target or somewhere else before I step foot in a walmart.
Tacklebox contact your local District Manager and they can assist you. I understand your frustration all I can say is when you call this person keep calm and they will be happy to assist if you go in guns blazing they will shut down and give you the big f U. I would suggest in the future doing site to store that way you have a face to face contact on your end when the product doesnt show up. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at anytime on here.
Ya thing is I live 60 mi from a Walmart, although to be fair I do work in the city however I typically carpool which makes extra stops a pain in the butt. On a slightly more positive note the first of the 2 orders which I "canceled" over the weekend, shipped and I recieved tracking info this morning...... the second order that my wife made to replace the first and paid for their "RUSH" shipping still hasn't shipped... INSERT FACEPALM!!!! I think I am just going to let both orders continue and when they both arrive take the second order in to a store and pray they will refund my money. Slightly concerned as I have heard conflicting information. The customer service reps have said it would be no problem, other sources have said since they are items only carried online I will not be able to return them to the store. Guess we will see. At this point I am just thankful that at the moment it appears I will have the items in time for Christmas.
You should be able to return them in store take your packing list and the original receipt good luck hope it all works out for you. It is funny to hear some of the stories as I have seen with my own two eyes Walmart take returns of items bought at another retailer example I saw a TV returned that still had the Best Buy sticker on the box where it looked like they had tried to take it back and Best Buy prob told them know so they brought it to Walmart. One lady brought a 3 year old WII back because her kids were fighting over it and they still gave her an in store credit. Like I said before I think people go in and think they can get something done when they are raging it does no good and only pisses off both parties.
