I thought with the late start to the season and with all the rain and early ice out the creek would be empty of walleyes for opening day. BUT... I had to go anyway. The females have all gone back to the lake but there were plenty of males left to fill the stringer. Caught a bunch. I was standing on the creek in front of the old homestead at 5:35. My brother and I had the limit in no time. Yum Yum
I went down again this AM. I was on the creek bank at 5:30. Caught my limit again. It took a little longer today. The bites were few and far between. They'll be gone in a few days if not sooner....back to the lake.
