Went out and walked the 50 acres I purchased yesterday. After making it through most of the property, I approached the creek bank only to have it give out underneath me and I slid down 20' to the dry creek bottom. Fortunately, the rocks in the dry creek bed broke the uncontrolled slide. This morning I can say 2 Aleve are not enough to counteract the rock effect.:violin:

I hear ya, I hope you feel better. To console you a bit, I have a similar type story about new landowner issues. My brother in law met face to face with a doe who about knocked him over as they met each other in the thicket on one of the first days we owned our property. It was a good laugh but he got all cut and banged up retreating from the bushes.

Glad to see you're alright. I hope I'm lucky enough to hurt myself walking my own piece of ground someday because that means I actually own my own piece:D

I bet the pain is a little more tolerable knowing it happened in land that you own.

Top it off with I have a couple hundred chigger bites on me now and the aches don't bug me at all now (yes, the pun was intended).
