    and heard a pheasant cackle. Thought what the heck and did a hoot owl call and the timber to the east of me exploded with gobbles. It's almost time to put a gobbler down!

    I'll be a guide in the morning, but I don't mind. I love calling them in for people that have never been turkey hunting. Hopefully my brother will get his first in the morning. Spring time has always meant fishing for him, but since his motor blew on his boat, he has time to try turkey hunting this year. Can't wait.

    Good weekend. we killed 5 birds in 3 days. Got one guy his first, second, and third turkey and another guy his second ever. I never even grabbed my gun off the cabin wall, just played guide for the other guys.

    Nothing better than 3 days camping on a 5 acre bass lake, drinking beer all day while fishing and goin out to strike up a turkey on 2000 acres. I was in heaven.

    I'm excited, but I don't know what season to hunt! This is my last year eligeble to hunt youth season.. So I was thinkin youth or first.
