Wow, that's a pretty nasty wound. Hate to see her in that sort of condition. If there is a fawn with her that is actually hers, that's pretty incredible that she would be able to raise one.
Pretty wild, I would be half tempted not to shoot her. She's a warrior. I did say half tempted though.
If I see her once season opens, and if that knee isn't healed over at least, I'll have to put her down...don't think I'd be able to leave her suffer if I had a shot. But I know she had the fawn last year and one crossed that rock line a minute before the this latest pic....I have yet to see her in person. Plus she is definitely a survivor and has to be wise to survive the 2 yote packs we have running around steady.
My buddies and I have a few pics of a doe that looks like her back leg and lower back might have been broken. Because her leg cocks out to one side and her back angles downward like a hyena. Anyways that was two years ago and she has had fawns and looks to be one of the healthiest deer on that particular fawn. The will to live in these animals is amazing.
