I paper tuned after re-stringing my bow...

Been trying the past few days to walk back tune it, but with the off set aim all my groups are hitting in the same area.

It did show I was off a bit to the left (despite bullet holes on the paper tune) - made the correction to the rest and got it at center shot - but the strangest thing happened.

Back at 30 yds I aimed at the dot - with my 20 yd pin (which is my indexing pin for the hind sight) and my 20 pin was hitting the same spot at 20 as at 30 yds.

    Thoughts?

Where does the 30 yd pin hit in relation to the 20? My first thought is that you are moving the bow as you shoot trying to see the arrow hit the target before it actually leaves the bow. I do this sometimes when I get caught up in tuning and focused on where the arrow hits instead of maintaining proper form through the shot. I will make myself hold very still during/after the shot and the impact point then goes to where it should actually be. It is always a reminder to me how important follow through is on the shot, even at 20 yds.

I have no experience with a hindsight so take that into consideration.

Something doesn't sound right here. I would start from the beginning at this point and re-sight my 20 making sure I have a consistant anchor and sight picture.

EDIT: I think Christine uses this sight system. Hopefully she will chime in here or you could try PMing her.

I use a hindsight but my 20 yard pin does not put an arrow in the bullseye at 30 yards. :)
How close are your pins? Is it possible that your sight housing is loose?

Your 30 pin should hit higher than your 20 yard pin @ 20 yards. Is your top pin your 20 yard pin?

30 yd is about 1/8" below the 20...give or take

Top is my 20...which I use as my Hind Sight pin...so if I was shooting normally, I would line up on that, put the 30 pin on the dot and hit the dot (assuming all other things go correctly).

Now when I am putting the 20yd pin on the dot at 30 yds... I am hitting the dot.

This freaking Hind Sight will be the death of me, when I am on with it, I am slamming arrows together - but Lord almighty -when I am off, holy crap, I am off. Drives me nuts.

I never missed the target with my peep, I go wild with the HS too much.

But again, when its on and so am I...man I love it.
