People on here seem to be real low key this year in terms of dropping a big boy!
Get inspired and get out in the darn woods gentlemen......let the next few weeks be exactly what you envision in your hunting dreams.

I am going to keep adding to the post whenever someone kills a buck.

The ice has begun to crack and the floodgate is now opening thanks to these guys......

Well done hunters! Some very nice deer in that sampling.

Not all of us are strictly after antlers though. ;) Some very nice does have been taken this year too. Those get my respect as well.

Agreed Matt. If I am able to kill A deer with my recurve this year, my year will have been a wild success. Heck, I arrowed four doe last year and only one buck and was extremely happy with my does. BUT, to be honest with you, my hunting dreams involve a big woods buck at 12 yards!

Yeah, I'm right there with ya. I certainly don't have to kill a buck, but I don't normally have does running through my dreams either. ;)

    Congrats to everyone pictured!!

Not for lack of tryin around here. All I have had for close encounters so far is does with kids. First single doe that shows is in trouble! And the big boys are right around the corner here! Good luck everybody.

The only thing your gonna get sitting on here all day and complaining about the weather and moon phases is carpeltunnel (sp) and a sore ass!
Get out of your house in your stand and do something!
I am truly disappointed in hearing all of these people just wanting to go out when its perfect. Why not just go to a high fence farm? If I could get out I would be in the stand rain, shine, heat or cold.
I am proud to be a bow hunter not a rack reaper " those horns are pretty hard to chew if you ask me"

    Agreed!

I like to analyze outside forces...but really the only ones that determine when & where I will hunt are Job, Wife, Kids :o

Yeah I agree. Sometimes it seems like people come up with excuses or justify why they aren't going to hunt a particular day. Not at all refering to anybody in particular here. Actually a buddy of mine comes to mind. Tells me all the reasons why it's bad to hunt today. I just say cool I'll be heading to so and so stand talk to you when I'm done hunting. Personally ... if I wake up and my name is not in the obituary, I'm hunting. Got to bed around 11-12 last night. Woke up at 4 to go hunt this am. Nice 34 degree driving rain accompanied by a 20 mph wind hitting me right in the jaw. Soaked to the bone and shivering. Loved every minute of it!(with no buck tag)

Now that this guy is down I can concentrate on getting a few more does and hopefully getting my fiance her first deer. Congrats to all those who have their buck this year. I have still been going out quite a bit; this is a great time of the year to watch all the movement and activity. Good luck to everyone and happy hunting!!!

I've struggled a bit this year. Last year I saw 7 bucks between 125-165ish. I let ALOT of bucks in the -125 range walk.

    This year I've seen 4 bucks total. I've seen a two 6's, a 5, and a spike.

I haven't hunted AS much, trying to put less pressure in the area, but I think the crops being gone from the property prior to me hunting is hurting me as I see most of my bucks when the beans are still in the fields.
