Thanks, me too! Moving about 3 hours west. I have some property in the foothills that I've always wanted to build a house on and it is finally a possibility. It's almost 5 acres and surrounded by family land that is undeveloped.

Well I went to the bow shop that was a little over a hour away that carries bowtechs and shot the carbon one. Ended up ordering one and should be here in 3-4 weeks. Loved the draw cycle and the grip, how it felt in my hand. Also trying the hamskea epsilon, usually shoot QAD but thought I would switch things up.

Love my Bowtech and Hamskea. I agree with the grip, comfortable and feels natural.

Yeah when he handed me the bow, I was like that grip just feels so natural in my hand. Now I just have a long 3-4 weeks before it comes in and get it all set up. What hamskea do you have?

I have the hybrid pro on my old bow and my new one has the same one you got, epsilon. The epsilon is build even better then the previous models.

Got a text from the shop, my bow came in! With work and other things in the way, I won't be able to go get it until next Friday. When I get it all set up, I'll upload some pics.

Went and picked up my carbon one today! Went home and got it sighted in real quick. Will double check sight tape tomorrow for sure but man is this thing smooth!

I thought the weight of it would be really noticeable but it is actually very well balanced. Like i said before the grip is my favorite grip out of all the bows i have shot.

My 2013 Bear screams at me every year that I need to upgrade but I just never pull the trigger. Probably look at upgrading to the THP bow next year maybe.

    I just shot
    Prime inline 1 and 3
    Mathews phase 4
    Hoyt VTM 31 and 33
    Bear Legend?
    A PSE
And the new Bowtech and Elite .
It came down to the Prime 33 or the Hoyt VTM 33
I told them i needed to walk away and come back one more time to shoot them. My shoulder was spent after 50 or so shots.
I will say this, every one of them make a damn fine bow. Like picking out a new truck. I will say also, The bear i shot was far from a flagship model. It was $459. It did have a little more shock than the others but, As a guy who doesnt shoot a ton, no 3d, no target archery, just a hunter, it did have me thinking about it. No it wasnt as enjoyable to shoot but for my purpose, to shoot once at a deer (hopefully) and have a ton of adrenaline pumping, i dont think im going to feel a little bit more hand shock in that situation.

The mathews was probably the smoothest at the shot but i just dont like the balance. Top heavy, wants to tip fwd just holding it. The draw was probably the smoothest as well.

the prime was very balanced and pretty smooth shot.

Same with the hoyt. Hoyt had best grip imo.

Bowtech i just didnt like the draw but it was ok.

Bear had a lot of shock but everything else was great especially the price. They just didnt have the flagship one available to shoot.

The Elite for some reason i kept torquing the bow. 3 guys were watching me and said my form looked fine. I didnt feel this with the other bows so im guessing the grip may have had something to do with it? Idk. I love my E32 so i wanted to like the Elite but had to hang it back up.

That is why I bought an old Matthews switchback XT earlier this summer. Still is smooth at the shot, but has no top-heavy tendencies.

Man! My pop hasn’t changed since the switchback XT. He did have to do Xbow for some time due to an injury but I still love pulling that bow out when I visit him and pop a few shots thru it. May be historically one of the best bows ever built.

People probably think I’m crazy but I bought mine for around $350. Then I bought a new cam, wheel and limbs for it. With the exception of the riser, it is a new bow. I will be hunting with it for years to come.
