Me and the wife took the kids bass fishing in a few creeks close to the house. This is the way I grew up bass fishing and figured the kids were old enough to break em in right, even though they enjoyed swimming more than fishing.
We had a good day and caught a good many fish.

Looks like a good time. I love wading the creeks for smallies around here. Id like to get into some more trout as well.

One of those things I need to get back to. My parents lived right by where the Elk River flows into the mississippi. I was going to college and working for a well driller every summer. I would get done with work and go wade and cast the river to cool down. Good times.

Been bass fishing my whole life. Can't remember not being able to work an open face. With that being said, I didn't catch my first trout until this past Sunday and I'm completely hooked now.

Some of my favorite memories are wading creeks and rivers with a fishing pole in hand.

My favorite fish to catch is the smallmouth bass, pound for pound the most fighting fish in fresh water.

My Dad and I spent many days wade fishing for smallmouth when I was growing up. My fondest fishing memories and favorite way to fish.

That's just how we did it growing up here in GA. Cool video and I love seeing the kids out there.

Is there anything more fun/frustrating than casting a skitter pop or zara spook working the surface and trying to delay yourself for that split second before you set the hook?

That brief pause and the discipline require to hold back is what I love about frog fishing. The wife got pretty lucky both times in the video. There was no pause at all ha. She just started reeling faster when she felt the weight.
