Yes, I do the same, I bailed hey in some crazy weather to keep my guy happy. I will also give him some meat from each kill. Anything to keep 40 acres of woods

Ya I've helped put up large amount of fence in 100 degree weather. I refuse to let this land slip due to not helping!

Same here! Wish you the best of luck man with whatever it is your going through that is not making you able to hunt this year, but your looking at leases, tree stands, and asking how to become a pro-staffer for XOP....you need to hunt to be a pro-staffer number one.... number 2, be successful with the products you truly believe in and use in achieving your success in the field for whom it is you are a pro-staff member for. Seems a little out of whack to me. Even if looking for a lease you still need to put some type of deposit down to secure it for the following season. That cash wouldn't be able to help you hunt this year?

Anyway like I said I wish you the best of luck with the hard times and hope you come out of it, in the meantime sucks that our team is down a man!

That's nuts. We pay about $12 per acre for our 1200 acres.

This may not be the proper thread for it, but I never got around to putting my name in for the contest. If the mods/ Fitz allow it I could fill in if someone is already backing out. I'm trying to bag something on public land this year, so no promises on much but hey I would give it a shot.

My uncle is a preacher at a church like that and he has more land to hunt than he has time for.

Same here. It's a curse some of us have to take on. Lol. I think I have close to 1500 acres of private land in 3 counties. Alot of it I have barely touched. Just don't have the time to scout everything.

Im glad lease prices aren't that high in South Carolina. Around here $10-$15 an acre is about normal.

That's the way he is. Some of the guys in his church have a 2000 plantation that is about half woods and half crop fields that they trophy manage that they let him come hunt and then he has several other places that he has permission to that he cannot hardly get time to hunt them all.

$300 for 20 acres of timber and 20 acres of crop land. Considering I'm in Iowa I'm really lucky to have this at that price, but there is a catch, the land owner can hunt it when I'm not there.

    LMAO.

I don't get it either, you can't hunt and dropped from team for financial reasons but are looking at leases and other purchases...

And to think, he'll still contribute the same amount of points for the team as you. :D

Please observe a moment of silence for Ferg. It's going to take a while to pick up the pieces of his pride :D
