Anyone know any voodoo or an exorcist maybe. I need a buckless curse lifted.

Just can't seem to be in the right stand on the right day or get em in bow range in daylight. This is really getting frustrating. The bucks are there but acting like vampires. Only showing up after dark. I've passed a few small bucks and had 2 shooters in range this year. One was after it was too dark too shoot and the other one cruised by at 30 yards doing MACH 2.

My rut activity pretty much was observed all in one day this season. It was a lot of fun, but was only small bucks chasing does. I guess the big guys knew better than to run around the woods in daylight. So I guess I'll have to stick out the cold weather and catch a hungry buck coming to fill his belly in my food plots. At least thats the way it happens on TV. I think I jinxed myself trying to video my hunts the last 2 years. Heck it's even rubbed off on Christine since she came down and hunted with me. :busted:

OK, I'm done crying now!!:violin: I'm gonna go kill a buck this weekend. But if you do know how to lift this buckless curse, shoot me a pm......PLEASE

When you find the right witch doctor, I'll sign the book as well.

the guy who took me on my first bow hunt, told me no matter what you see on your first hunt you have to shoot it. if you pass on a deer you will never see another one
well that first hunt i passed on a doe ( i thought it was small even though it wasnt it was just my inexperience) then a year late i shot my first deer.
ever since then i dont pass on much of anything. unless its an un safe shot, or a buck that has potential. i barely ever pass on a doe, i eat all of my deer meat, and process it myself so i never have a reason not to shoot a doe.

I feel your pain, I have the trailcam curse this year.

I seen some big deer on cams so i put on my priority list and passed a lot of mid to large deer and then boom the deer went on lockdown and food sources have dried up and i am sitting down looking at pics Simple wrong stand at the wrong time deal.

I have a vid of two bucks watching me walking to my stand, and is why i hate morn hunts..right when i was at my stand i looked over and saw them by my game cam so on my way out i picked up the sd card and the rest is how this season has gone for me.
    good luck

I shot the first deer I could this season and John's bad juju still rubbed off on me. :(

After I hunted with him I had a buck deep six itself and on Friday I decided to shoot a doe and my release strap velcro just up and quit. (while I was drawn no less....)

    He's contagious!!:whip:

I just got everything ready to go hunting in the morning and now I just got an email saying they'll be doing the aerial deer count tomorrow.

They used to do it at night with that FLIR thing. I have a feeling they won't let us hunt while they're doing the survey. Might be in violation of some hunting reg.

Would be nice if I could get 'em to drive deer for me. :D Maybe I'll go down there and watch the plane. Might get an idea of where the deer are hanging out by watching where the plane circles. ;)

Maybe just hunt somewhere else? If what you have been doing isn't working... You should change things up IMO.

John. Throw everything out of the window. Piss on your boots before entering the woods. Eat some salt and vinegar chips as you walk to your stand. Drink some hot coffee on stand and dress in plaid. :)

I'm in the same boat John. It seems to coincide with meeting Diamond Don at the GTG, ever since I have been buckless:cry:

hmmmmm. Then I suggest something a little more elegant, wear clip on earrings and/or a camo man thong.

Hey, just take up smoking, couldn't hurt. I feel your pain John. Tomorrow's the last day of this goat season and it'll be my sixth without taking a decent billy. I'll send you some of my best mojo but I'm not saying that it's worth a crap.
