I'm going to put an apology out there. I'm sure I'm one of the offenders, and while I won't apologize for trying to spread the word in hopes of keeping our second amendment rights from being stripped even further, i apologize if my postings were a bit excessive. I don't participate on many forums, and up until this recent gun fiasco my posting was limited to bow season and rarely if ever in the water cooler. While I don't feel I have broken any board rules, maybe I helped in part to provoke more gun postings. I don't know, but I'll apologize for it. Maybe we can rename one of the less used subforums into a gun related section as to not ruin any "off topic" off topic banter?
Why would you apologize? I don't think Vito left because of the gun threads.... I always thought the comment, " this used to be a Bowhunting forum" was tongue in cheek... If it wasn't....adios Vincenzo ..... the Water Cooler is about anything and everything...like Danno said... the forum is so different now.... it loses its luster now and then due to turnover ...
Just been a lot of the "forum has changed" posts in the past few months. I can't speak to whether he left for that reason, or if he actually left at all, but figured I'd throw it out there just the same. This is probably the first post in a few months I haven't typed the word gun............ dang it
cls74, that's what the water cooler area is for, it's non bowhunting topics. Nobody has to go to the water cooler if they don't want to. I feel it's important to debate important issues, and right now there's nothing more important than our individual freedoms.
I hate guns and all of you!!! Someone gave me a heads up about this thread. To clear things up, the gun talk or any other threads/subjects/members here, had anything to do with my absence. Thats cute you guys think it would bother me, but I don't take the interwebs that serious. My vagina is sand free. Life got busy. Both kids in school, both kids playing sports, both kids in swimming classes, etc. Shoot, I haven't fished in two months! I've never gone that long in my life. No worries though, I'm having a blast. I was really busy one week and didn't have time to check in here. The next time I hopped on it was a bunch of new faces in the water cooler. Thats not a bad thing I suppose, but I like Dan said, I didn't feel like sifting through all the posts. I've kept in touch with a number of guys through facebook and text. Hit me up if you wish. I hate you all. Oh who am I kidding...I still love JZ. Go Blue.
Just I clear up something that looks like it has started, this was not a bash Vito thread. I was only asking because I was concerned. Ah who am I kidding! I'm glad the mouthy little no hunting f@$&er decided to take a break! Sarcasm has no place here anyways! Stay busy Vito!
No worries, stick. I never took it as that way. And if it was/is a bashing thread, then all the better. I don't take forums or myself too seriously.
I'm learning not to thanks to you buddy. Glad I hear you aren't gone for good. Have fun with those kids man. One if mine is about to start Tee-Ball. This should be fun! Now to get off this second shift I got stuck on before he starts.
Still here...kind of like Vito. Life. Working three "jobs" and being a wife and mom to two boys is a little hectic. And yes, some of the posts were getting a little obnoxious and having to sift through 100's to get to one that I cared to participate in was a little tiresome. I'm still here though..waiting to bust the chops of some cranky men! Carry on! Vito, teach my husband how to ignore the forum and not log in for that long?? HAHA!
