These were my father inlaws from way back in the 70's I got them out the other day and was going to shoot one of them just for the heck of it. Well i wasnt thinking about the knocks being 30+ years old and brittle The first shot found the recurve flying out of my hand because of busting a knock. dumb dumb any one remember such an arrow ? i believe they are glass. check out the vintage quicky quiver. Ill just put them away for keeping. The pics makes them look bent. here are the markings on them, micro flight 7
Micro Flite... isn't that what Fred Bear used?? I think that bear made the Micro Flite arrows if I'm not mistaken???
That kind of quiver is what I first used. Great idea to give a 13 yr old kid 3 razor sharp un-protected arrows to carry on his bow like that.
That would be cool to find out BHF, Fred bear rocks rybo, i agree and i grew up with those things  Heck i survived tying a steak knife onto an arrow replacing the suction cup end. Tying a retrieve string to it to. Hell i only got around 10 stitches :smash: And mom was not very happy
I believe bowhunting fool is right, it looks like old bear heads on there as well 1 with the bleeder razor and one without!! Walt
bloodcrick, Your arrows made me head down into my basement because I have an ol recurve bow down there my dad gave me many years ago. The story goes on Fred Bears 1st trip to Africa to hunt the laws stated that everyone with him need to carry a bow and arrow even the cameraman who did not hunt. Well the cameraman was from around our area and he bought this bow so he would be legal, It is a SedarQuest all aluminum recurve bow. It has no markings just the name on the leather grip, when he returned from the hunt he sold it to my dad who gave it to me. Ihave never had a string on the thing, I would love to give it to the Fred Bear museum because of the history and my Dad swears the story is 100% true but I have no Idea where to start.. Walt PS I will get a picture of it and post it.. Walt
To bad you couldn't shoot them. Cool keepsakes though. We had a UBI get together at Clinton Lake SRA. John brought out his "kids bow" a Howard Hill "Big Five" longbow. Then he let the rest of us play with it. Here I'm pulling about 60lbs Oh did I mention it had a 111 lb @28 draw weight? Whoops! Sorry about your truck...
