If the Broncos had not been playing such stellar defense the past 6 weeks (other than Detroit game) everyone would be talking about how much Tebow sucks. At some point they will have to play some better teams though and that may not be pretty.
Can a guy pic neither. I would pic Tebow over Young, but I wouldnt want either on my team. Neither can throw the ball and I am sorry I dont care how great of a person you are and how hard you run a QB has to be able to throw the ball.
That's an easy observation to make, "Denver is winning because their defense is playing so much better." Well, yes, their defense has been playing light outs lately. However, that's in part because Tebow and the offense has been controlling the clock, sustaining drives and not turning the ball over. They go hand in hand. A defense and quarterback rely on one another to execute their respective game plans in order to win the game. Tebow relies on his D to not give up a lot of points, and the D relies on Tebow to not turn the ball over, to turn over field position and control the clock. The last half of the 4th quarter, the goal is to put yourself in position to win the game. Tebow has done that. Their defense has done that. That's why they win.
Yeah I agree with Cody. You can't give the defense all the credit. While Tebow's numbers aren't eye popping, he is making a difference. Even if its just the attitude of his team. Teams play better when the players believe in each other. Sure you can say if the defense wasn't playing well, he wouldn't win...but the defense is playing well...and they are winning.
I don't want either of them..... but if I had to, I'd take Tebow just because. I like the boys spunk and he does seem to have a knack for making lemonaide out of lemons. I would be looking for a real quarterback.... but for right now... I'll take a Tebow just for the story line.
I have faith Tebow is going to become a really good quarterback, not great though. Yes, the defense is helping him, of course! He keeps them off the field without allowing turnovers and gets points on the board at the same time. And they keep holding teams for good field position, setting the offense up for more possibilities. If the defense went to crap then obviously he wouldn't be doing that well. As far as Vince Young goes, psshhhh!!! He sucks!
