Pretty BA if you ask me. Kind of reminds me of a church though.

I think the future of stadiums is going to be smaller seating capacities with more amenities and higher per ticket prices.

I just hope they pay for it themselves. Nothing annoys more than team owners threatening to move teams if they do not get a new taxpayer financed stadium.

Well when you have 60" 3D HDTV's in your house where the beer is cheap, you can sit on your own couch in your underwear, pause the action with your DVR to go to the bathroom it doesn't give much incentive for a person to shell out a bunch of money and waste an entire day to go see a game.

Not really, people will continue to pay it. Not their fault their product is in very high demand.

My wife loves going to baseball games, she is a Mets fan and I am a Yankee fan. Though out the season we attend several games at both new stadiums...they are both smaller then the old Yankee and Shea stadiums.
New modern designed stadiums have much better ascetics and amenities then ever, if that comes with an increase in price....oh well. What has not gone up in price? ..and how many things have gone up but your receiving the same old products and services? The nice thing is that at least you can see and enjoy the experience, and for us that negates the increase in price.

    People will.

Joe Shmoe Blow wont be able to afford more then a game a year. The working american family man wont be attending as many games...rich office job yuppies will ;)

Sounds like the stadiums will start getting quieter and quieter...

I know my company was quoting on the structural steel for the new Vikings stadium. Not sure if we got it. I dont like hte design of it.

We did all the structural steel in the mets and yankee's stadiums. I painted all of the mets myself. I did Coatings inspections for the Giants / Jets stadium. Then i was involved in shipping the fabricated Material for The Marlins stadium in FL.

I was looking at taking my GF to the sept game in NY Giants vs Bronco's ( im a Giants fan and she's a Payton fan ) I started looking at tickes and to worst avail tickets in the nose bleed sections are like 250$ and decent tickets are running like 1200$. Its ridiculous. Needless to say i wont be going.

You would think they would pay for it but no, the Wilf family is only responsible for a little more than $300 million I believe. $250 mil of that will be loaned to them by the NFL. The taxpayers will be footing the rest of the $975 million bill. Makes me sick thinking about how little of their own money is getting used for this.

It's hard to justify building a new stadium with no Lombardi Trophies to grace the hallways.

That's a cool looking stadium, I really like all the windows, does kind of look like a church though
