BS. Viking fans are jack asses. I am not talking about a jersey I am talking a simple hat and I am going about my day minding my own business, does a complete stranger think I want to hear their opinion? Loud mouthed chumps need to just shut up.
I have been in Green Bay with viking fans and they were not bothered in public. I have worn my Packer hat in airports and cities and different countries and have not had comments made other than in support of being a fellow fan. Only in Minnesota, I have been told I am not allowed to wear a Twins hat with a packer sweatshirt. I think it is frustrating for me because I am a civil individual I try to be a gentleman so I always have to temper my response vs the 5 minute rant I want to unleash. My normal response is yeah if I were you I would hate me too.
Trust me. It's a 2 way street. Packers fans are jack asses as well. Basically any rivalry in any sport... If you are wearing gear of your rival in their city, you're going to catch flack for it. In Boston wearing Yankees gear? You're going to get crap. In LA wearing Celtics gear? You're going to get crap. In Chicago wearing cheese head gear? You're going to get crap. In Michigan wearing Ohio State gear? You're going to get crap.
Jake I hate to bring it up again, I know it is a rivalry in the vikings fans eyes but the Packers rival is the Bears. Second viking fans should know their role as a little brother that really is not that accomplished. I do get it if I was a viking fan I would hate me, I would not be able to deal with the jealousy and envy of not ever having what the Packers have enjoyed. The whole 100 year celebration next year will bug you to but rather than being perturbed you should be grateful to franchises like the Packers and Bears that built the league so expansion franchises like the vikings could exist, even though the vikings still have to rely on public subsidies to get a stadium built.
Go from talking rivalries to you bumbling on about jealousy, envy, 100 year celebrations, and public subsidies . Never fails. I posted this... "In Chicago wearing cheese head gear? You're going to get crap." I said nothing of the Vikings and a rivalry. Packers/Vikings are in the same division and our states border one another. Granted not a "true" rivalry, you're still going to get crap from Vikings fans. Just the way it is. Stop wearing the gear or stop whining.
