    That's a common every home game occurrence in GB!!! I know people who go, tail gate and get a hotel room when the Packers have a playoff game OUT OF TOWN. Then tell everyone they were at the game. That's a rube!

    To be fair, I bet that kind of thing goes on in every NFL city.

    picman I have to call BS on that, in Green Bay all the hotels have a 2 night minimum stay and the rates are double the normal during the home games there are plenty of Packer rubes out there but not that dumb. Then again you could make a weekend out of going to Lambeau, tour the stadium Saturday, go to the Packer hall of fame Sunday morning, see the Lombardi's.

    Ah, you missed the "OUT OF TOWN" game portion (specifically out town playoff game) of my response.

    I know some stupid people-have yet to meet one who would do that for a home game. I do know plenty that go and tailgate at home games with no intention of getting into the game. They are happy to be in the parking lot with their battery TV or radio.

    To be honest I went to Lambeau for the season opener after the Super Bowl in Green Bay, I was in Appleton for work so it was on the way home. I met some guys I knew from a Packers website we drank beer and watched kid rock. Game started and I decided to keep the $250 in my pocket and went to Stadium View instead. I would not make the 10-1/2 hour round trip to do it but heck the season opener after a 13th world championship I will stop by to see what is going on.

    I waved to all your Packer brethren in the Lambeau parking lot this morning as I was on my way to make a pick up at one of my vendors. Was a peaceful couple hours out of the office...
