va isnt the worst state as far as game laws goes. you can hunt on your on property w/out a license and you have a fall and spring turkey season. i own property in n.c. and have dual residency. N.C. just this year we got sunday hunting and the right to use a crossbow outside of disabled sportsmen criteria but you still have to get a concealed carry permit to hunt with a crossbow and only have a spring turkey season where va still has both spring and fall season. i cant complain about 2 much b/c there is places where its worse GOD BLESS DIXIE!

I can't be stationed there...would have to clear out about a dozen of my weapons and leave them in another state.

Same with a bunch of other nazi like states.

How hard is it for people in the legislature to actually be logical and determine that people hunting on PRIVATE land should have the right to hunt on Sunday? I could see some argument about not allowing hunting on public lands on Sundays (not much of an argument), but not allowing hunting on private property on Sundays seems to be the most illogical, religous based law known to man. DUMB.

Let's say you're hunting a nice Saturday evening here in good old Pa. Around 5:00PM you get a shot at a good 8pt. The thing is, your shot was further back than you wanted. It's going to be dark soon, so you think it best to wait until first light SUNDAY morning to find him.
Just after first light Sunday morn you follow the little bit of a blood trail that you have. After a good distance you see a bedded deer. It's your 8pt, and he's quite alive! This deer continues to remain bedded as you get closer. This deer is bad off enough to allow you to get within easy bow range. Now what are you supposed to do? No Sunday hunting in Pa leaves this buck to lay there and suffer for God knows how long.

    WAKE UP PENNSYLVANIA!

it says in the bible on the seventh day you rest why cant you rest in the woods instead of church and your right if you wound a deer saturday afternoon and hes still alive sunday you should be able to do the ethical thing and dispatch him not let him suffer. A bullet or arrow will fly just the same on sunday as anyother day they dont have any reasons why they cant open it up. I dont have a problem with church but no matter how good a church or preacher you cant get talked into heaven.
