Virginias hunting laws I wanna talk about two laws here in virginia that are stupid. The first one is you cant hunt on sunday and the other one is that if you want to hunt with a crossbow you have to buy a crossbow license and if you hunt with a compound too you have to buy both a crossbow and a archery license but they define both as archery tackle. what are your thaughts on this?
no hunting on sunday is ng2g - you should move up to a northern state where we don't believe in honoring the sabbath
Write the Gov... I did. If enough of us do, he may consider it. We are also working on the Base Commander here, he can open it up since its Federal land. Blue laws are ingrained in this state.
I here its because of church. its as simple as this if you want to go to church go if you wanna go hunting go hunting people should make their own minds up.
Same thing here in Pa, but they let you shop, buy alcohol, gamble, and get an escort girl. I don't get it!

I know a lot of hunters and I dont know one of them who wouldnt mind hunting on sunday the way they got this state split up its funny you cando alot more on the east of 29 than you can on the west. if they asked me if I wanted to hunt on sunday I would say yes and more people need to say it.
The "no Sunday Hunting" thing is stupid! The ONE thing NY got right was to allow it ... I shot my doe on Sunday morning last year .... took it to church with me that morning ... (it stayed in the car) :D
Heck, one of the best hunting days of this year falls on a Sunday, November 8th, and I cannot hunt. That is some outright bs. I actually talked with my wife about that tonight. My kids are starting to get more heavily involved in sports, which might include some travelling on Saturdays. That means when they get older that Saturday hunts may be very hard for me and my kids. And with no Sunday back up that prospect really stinks.
heck thats the best day to hunt all year 90% of sundays have perfect weather and thats when you see most of the deer. I think deer know when it sunday.
are you running for office youd have my vote. two dumbs dont make a right. if we had more hunters in richmond then things wouldnt be as bad.
