Ok so if you hunt long enough eventually its going to rain, sleet of snow. What do you do to protect your equipment from the rain? Just use something like a GOPRO or Tactacam?

Only use equipment you are willing to loose. use rain covers. I'm just saying I would take my brand new camera that I pain thousands for out in the rain.

You can use a tree umbrella. They work pretty well. Keep it in a nice waterproof backpack on the way to the stand and set your umbrella up before you even get it out of your pack. If the wind is blowing the umbrella doesn't work as well but if its calm i think it works good

thanks for the replies. I will stick with using a GoPro or tacticam on rainy days or maybe get a cheap sacrificial camera.

I keep a trash bag in my camera bag for emergency purposes when getting caught in the rain. But in general if it is raining or I know it is going to rain then my camera gear does not go hunting. I generally dont hunt in the rain anyway.
