Me my brother and gri22ly are looking into possibly getting into videoing some hunts maybe next season. What kind of money we looking at just getting started? 1,000-2,000? We're not wanting to get too technical but just to play around a little. I have a Sony Handycam, would that be something I could start using and work alright?

I love the Sony Handycam just make sure you put the camera on the HQ setting and that will work great
if you don't want to get to fancy.
If you need help in doing this feel free to shoot me off a PM.

Look up Tony Fraley on facebook and I have a video up of a nub buck I had take a week or two ago
    on the video page.

You should be good to go Melton man. Just get familiar with the manual controls (manual focus, white balance, etc) and you should be good to go. Todays cam's are amazingly good.

Thats what I wanted to hear, looks like we could do a little filming this year instead of waiting. Appreciate the info.

I also have a handycam.. I uploaded a deer footage video last night (so i thought) but it is longer than 10 minutes and youtube rejected it it. File too big for photobucket also... Anyone have any suggestions?

Good luck to you Kentucky boys, can't wait to see some footage!

T, have them posted anywhere else so I can see them? Was wondering if you were putting them anywhwere.
bowmanaj- what's your youtube page? Would love to see the videos once you get them loaded. I have been having problems uploading my videos lately too.

Try downsizing it or cutting it up a bit. Corel has a .FLV file that i save everything for youtube in that makes it pretty tiny.
