I'm looking at getting into filming some hunts this year, but I don't wanna jump in to deep. I would really like yalls imput on a good video camera that will function in the woods for under 500. Maybe this is setting the price to low, but it is really all I can invest at this time, and it may be pushing the ceiling a bit high. Like I said I don't wanna get to deep to quick. Thanks in advance fellas, I know I'm in good hands!

It is a factory refurbished camera in new condition it comes with 90day canon warranty and 1yr cameta camera warranty and you can also buy a 3yr warranty too. This camera has all the options you cant get from sub 500$ cameras like mic and headphone jacks mini accessory shoe. It has adjustable white balance and shoots in 60i,30p,and24p. Have not had a chance to use it yet but here is review on it. http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Canon-VIxia-HF-M31-Camcorder-Review-37761.htm
Glad to help the one I got is in perfect condition not a scratch on it. From what I read the cameras were factory demo "inside the display case" which is why there have no wear it came with a new battery and remote control which you can start/stop rec and adjust zoom too. I ordered a 37mm UV filter to protect the lens and want to get a hood to for better protection. I also got a 16gb class 10 SDHC card, I ordered both the filter and card from newegg.com both had free shipping. I think the card was 11.99 and the filter 5.99. Campbells cameras sells a precut camo skin for the canon HF S30 which I think would fit on it I'm waiting to here back from them on that. I think it will end up being a great camera same thing as the HF M300 which is silver and sells for 650$ brand new.
