You want the mount on the tree as a bow mount moves too much for the shot sequence. They make nice swivel mounts for trees. It's can be very frustrating capturing a self filmed kill sequence. Gun tower video should be from a tripod again to cut down on camera motion. I had pinned down a really big 8 during gun. My Son and I 8 hours into the day together in a gun tower, the buck steps out of my spruce planting on que, I can't get the camera focused in 30 below windchill, batteries were slow, He doesn't shoot because it wasn't focused, the buck walked. I use a GoPro and use the head mount. Looks crazy but is effective and works well. Use to mount it to the riser of my bow but could't get the sticky mount to stay for some reason.
Insane archery bracket holds my camcorder to my bow. Never found the tree mount brackets user friendly but I own a couple. Just never use them.
