Thinking about buying the victory vap arrow.....wanted to see if anyone has used these arrows before and what you thought about them. Thanks for your time
I shot the vap's for a year. They fly and penetrate awesome. The bad thing is the tapered outsert. You can get aluminum or stainless. The aluminum is prone to bending and the stainless is twice the weight and are very expensive. If shot into a bag target. they can be very difficult to pull out because of the tapered. insert. I really like these arrows but would like a different insert design. If your not worried about the price and inserts id say you'll like them as well. I just went to the gt kinetic hunters but haven't shot them long enough to give a good review. So far though they fly great and hit hard. Just aren't as small as the vaps but have a better outsert system in my opinion. I believeve you could get the hit inserts that are made for the easton injections and put them in the vaps but then your limited to shooting the deep six broadheads only. the vaps i have are v3's and 350 Spine.
One thing i forgot to add. I bought the nocturnal lighted nocks for my vaps. Didn't turn out to well. I killed. two does and a buck last fall with these arrows and two of the three nocturnals were destroyed. Its the first time i tried any lighted nocks but I've never heard of them being disposable. I suppose with the tiny nocks the vaps use creates a strength issue with this particular size nocks. my bow shoots fast enough i never seen the nocks come on so i doubt i'll pay for more in the future. Would be better if victory designed an over sized nock system for these arrows as well as the lighted nock companies.
