Anyone shoot these? I've heard great things about them, but I want to know more about them before I given them a try.

Lot of money to shoot an animal that doesn't wear armor. Nice gimmick, though, got a lot of people's attention.

They are a great arrow. With their smaller diameter they have less wind drift on longer shots. They have some new steel inserts to increase durability and increase FOC. But you still have the original inserts along with glue in points for target. I have mine setup with 120 grain point and 1.5" Fusions and they fly like darts.

Last two archery shops I was in both are selling them and have had great feedback on them. I understand that anyone can say they work or that they don't, however, I was wondering what hunters have to say who have shot/used them. The insert design is intriguing and takes an approach different then the deep 6 idea and axis where you buy an attachment. Overall, I prefer shooting the the smaller diameter shafts (these are smaller than axis). They don't appear to be any more expensive then shooting axis and will be no where near the price of the injections when they come out. Anyone else shot these?

You must be confident in Victory arrows through right? I seen in another message you posted you were planning to shoot Victory arrows next year.

"I may get new strings and I'll probably be using some Victory arrows."

I think Victory arrows are good quality and will be using the Vforce V1's. I also think "armor piercing" arrows are a very expensive gimmick. A well built arrow that weighs enough and has a good FOC will penetrate every bit as far (how far to penetrate a whitetail?) as one of the expensive "armor piercing" arrows and cost much less.

for the record I have recommended Victory Vforce V1's to a number of people but I have not recommended "armor piercing" arrows to anyone. The spine around shaft is very consistant as is the spine across the dozen on the Vforce V1's.

Thank you. I will concentrate more of my interest towards looking into the Vforce V1's when looking into Victory.

They are a great arrow with some great qualities but I tend to agree with Bruce. My main dislike about them is that unless you buy the 85gr SS outsert, they are pretty much useless because any time you hit anything except a foam target the insert with bend and possibly split the end of your shaft. They would bend in a bag target even, and when you shot an animal with the arrow hit the dirt on the other side they would bend. I shot these arrows for two years. Loved them except for that that fact.

    Just bought 12 VAP

I set up 6 for target and 6 for hunting. I have only shot them at the range with target points. They did not penetrate any further than my carbon express or vforce v1 arrows. I do like the fact that they offer a lower profle for long range shooting but I am not impressed with the penetration hype. I will test them further with the stainless inserts and broadheads (possibly a cow or pig that might have a new home in the freezer). The cow will be humanely disposed of with a rifle. I believe these arrows will provide better penetration though bone because of the penetrator tip but will fare the same as any other arrow with accurate shop placement.

I'm shooting the VAP's to hunt. They are a fantastic arrow, and are very consistent for weight and straightness tolerances. I haven't personally spine tested them, but I can say that I haven't had to cull arrows for weird flight issues with them in the 3 dozen I've setup. Usually with other brands I've shot in the past I'd end up culling one out of every couple dozen that just wouldn't fly right when broadheads were installed......and that's usually due to spine. I've also shot their VForce V1's and they are a fantastic arrow, but the VAP's absolutely penetrate significantly more. They are expensive, and for those that don't mind spending the extra $$$ they are a great option.

There is a guy shooting them on a 5 spot league I am on, he punches out decent scores with them.

He did say he uses them for 3D and if you make an errant shot, the arrow is dead...

Just got set up with 1/2 dozen yesterday to test out. If I like them I will definitely be picking up another dozen. Hoping to test them out during turkey season.
