So I was shooting the Easton torch with 75 grain brass inserts up front for a high FOC... they stopped making these so I was thinking about shooting the Easton HEXX this year which is basically the same arrow. Then I discovered the Victory Extorsions and they seem very appealing. 12.9 GPI for a 300 spine though. They look very sturdy with the stainless steal mesh. I shoot 60 pounds at 28 inches and I want a high FOC and a hard hitting arrow. I’m very intrigued by the extorsions, as they seem awesome. What’s everyone’s opinion on these arrows? If not what arrows would u recommend instead? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
According to archers advantage, if you shoot a Victory Extorsion 300 cut to 27.5”, 75 grains up front, 100 grain head, 28” draw, and 60 lbs out of a Halon (I don’t know what bow your shooting), that’s 12.7% FOC at 566g and 248fps. Personally at 60lbs and 28” draw, I’d drop down around 480 grains. I’m not pushing any brand of arrow, but for example a gold tip hunter xt 340 cut to 28”, 75 grains up front, is the same FOC 483 grains, and 268fps.
