    Perfect fit for Vick

I'm just glad he didn't go to the Cowboys, we just got rid of 90% of our drama

Convicted felon making millions again. Gotta love it. He is a great rusher, I'll give him that.

The man did his time, why not let him play again?

The NFL is no different than any other privately owned company. Would you be equally offended if Wal-Mart had hired him?

WalMart doesn't hire felons, most no one does. One of my son in laws is testament to that.

X2. The fact that most convicted felons have a hard time finding minimum wage employment upon their release,.and he was reinstated and signed just like that because he was given the gift of great athletic ability. We'll overlook the dog killing and who knows what other illegal activity he was involved in, though, because, well, he can throw a football (well that's also debatable looking at his last starts in the 06 season:D). I don't know, maybe I'm bitter at my young age, but I don't have a lot of respect for many of today's professional athletes. Granted there are plenty of classy one's left, but there's also a growing trend of arrogance and poor decision making.

It's a interesting move. I am indifferent on it. I'd bet McNabb either has the best season of his life or the worst. The only reason he shouldn't feel threatened by Vick is the fact that it's not week 6.

I give him 4 weeks and he will be starting...Eagles looking for a reason to bench Mcnab...Vick isn't a trouble maker on a team or locker room, he should be ok...he deserves a second chance...have not we all?? Tony, you can have TO gladly!!! Yes, our owner sucks!

Ummm.... McNabb is definetly going to be the starter for the entire season unless he gets hurt. Lets face it, McNabb is one of the top 5 QB's in the league (this coming from a diehard Cowboys fan)... he is up there with Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Carson Palmer. McNabb has a cannon for an arm, pinpoint accuracy, and he doesn't make mistakes. Look back over the recievers he has had in his career (with the exception of T.O.) and then ask yourself how he has the best TD to Int. ratio of any QB...to EVER play the game (I am sure there is some stipulation on games played, or age, or something) but he is an amazing QB who just hasn't had a team around him. His only true weapon through his career with Brian Westbrook, and two guys can't do it on their own. McNabb is going to have a MONSTER year with all of his young weapons he has to distribute the ball to.... as much as I hate to say it, Eagles are going to win the NFC East, and is wouldn't suprise me if they win the entire NFC!

    A few thoughts...

    McNabb good? Of course

    Top 5...hell no

    Job safe...never.

For whatever reason, which i dont understand, McNabb is always on the hot seat. Maybe its because he is so injury prone.

    McNabb... interception % is 2.1%.

    for comparison...

    Peyton Manning is 2.8%
    Tom Brady is 2.4%
    Drew Brees is 2.7%
    Carson Palmer is 3.1%
    Ben Roethlisberger is 3.6%

Granted, this stat doesn't show everything, but it shows that he is as accurate of a QB as they come, and he doesn't make mistakes. Like I said earlier, for most of his career he hasn't had any weapons on his side of the ball, but yet he has helped the Eagles to dominate the NFC East (as much as I hate to admit) and the Eagles are a constant contender. To place him as a "good" quarterback, not a great one is insane.

Jeff, injuries have hurt McNabb in the past, but he looked as good as ever last season and looked more comfortable than he has in several years... actually since Roy Williams broke his leg. Vick will not start as a QB for the Eagles this season... not going to happen. In order for that to happen, he would have to replace Kevin Kolb as the back up, or he would have to be the 3rd string QB...ahead of Jay Feely, and both McNabb and Kolb would have to be injured. I don't see the Eagles bumping a guy up to the 2nd starter who hasn't played in more than two years, and I doubt that both McNabb and Kolb will be down.

Do you really thnk Vick is not better than feely and Kolb. remember I am glad vick is no longer in Atlanta (completion percentage) but he could be out of the game for 10 years and be better than those 2. One thing to remember for those who think this is good, Philly has been trying to push Donavon out for many years...just a little here and there. Heck I remember Detmer having a big Monday night game and the controversy started "luckily" he blew out his knee or something next week and the talk ended. Oh yes there will be controversy, just wait. Everyone had already picked the Eagles for the divison...but mcnabb and westbrook have been known to get nicked on a regular basis, now put that team at 3 and 5 and the philly fans will be chanting Vick, Vick, Vick...

He will help them sooner than later. Hes a D-coordinators nightmare. If nothing else every team has to prepair extra just for him. Andy Reed is no dumby, hes assembled quite the talented team there in Philly if he can get them all healthy, they will be scarey good.
