If I have arrows in my quiver, I’m getting a noticeable vibration. Is this to be expected ? Any benefit in getting a detachable quiver?
should mount to your sight ... I use the G5 Headloc, 6 arrow, I only carry 4 ... easy on/off and you can get extra hangers for the tree ... first thing I do once I settle in the tree or blind is take the quiver off ... I do practice with it on, just in case I need to shoot with it on from the ground ... generally it comes off ... https://shop.g5outdoors.com/products/head-loc-quivers
it should not effect tune ... but always shoot to be sure, esp. if you were shooting with one on vs off, it can change weight distribution and follow thru of the bow and the shot ....
I would say you have either a wore out quiver that doesn't grip your arrows tight enough, or just simply one that your arrows are too small for it to grip them well. I also have a G5 and carry 4 arrows in it. It grips my arrows well, in fact it's a bit of a pain to get them into the slots, but it sure doesn't let them move during the shot. Flip one lever and it slides right off. My only complaint is it doesn't have material in the hood that completely envelopes the broad head blades, but that's just my personal preference. Take an arrow with you to the store and choose one you like that holds your arrow very tightly. Best way to ensure getting one that is quiet. I wouldn't buy one that doesn't have a quick release. When elk hunting I have to be very mobile and shoot with the quiver attached, but when I crawl into a whitetail stand the first thing I do is take the quiver off.
