Has anyone ever successfully cooked venison ribs. If so, please tell me exactly what you did because my lil sister just got a deer and I asked my papa to save the ribs so I could cook them but I don't know how. I figured I would ask you guys. thanks:D

Very little meat every deer ive done I trim the fat and grind the rib meat. Venison fat is nasty and dont think the ribs on the bone would be any good

Heck yes... They are tasty as all get out. Depending on the size of the deer, they are better used as an appetizer. Try a marinade of; vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, black pepper, paprika and beer...four hours should do it. Grill quickly on high heat, but don't over cook.

f your venison has added fat, ommit egg & oats

mix ground venison, egg & oats together. Form into 8 thin patties. Mix together softened cream cheese, feta & parsley. Place about 1-2 Tbsp cheese mixture onto 4 of the patties, leaving at least a 1/4" cheese-less border. Cover each with a remaining patty and pinch the edges firmly together. Grill or pan fry burgers (aprox. 7-10 min)

We tried them years ago, a buddy cooked them just like regular ribs in the oven. Wrapped in aluminum foil and cooked for several hours before unwrapping and browning/BBQ saucing. They were incredible for the first several ribs. As they started to cool we all started to notice our mouths were getting coated in a venison fat mess. By the end we all were brushing our teeth and tongues trying to get rid of the tallow/fat taste. Would never try it again IMO.

A guy at our club makes them every year, he collects them from about 20 deer and makes one batch. From what I gather he parboiled them to get the fat out, then he makes them in the oven in BBQ sauce. They are just ok, but for the effort I honestly don't think it's worth it.
I wouldn't mess with them myself.

That could be what was missing from my buddy's recipe, the boiling part. LOL I still can taste it and it was 20 years ago in college!! LOL
